Q: Which kits go with vodka? Vodka is not on any product labels.

A: All of them! Vodka is a neutral spirit (it vibes with all sorts of flavors). Most kits that have gin or tequila on the label work with vodka, too.

Q: How many times can use the kit?

A: We feel comfortable saying twice. Some customers have used them 4 times! Remember, you can use them with soda water after the 2nd infusion. And use can use the contents of the jar for a simmer pot. Your house will smell amazing!

Q: I've finished the first infusion, now what?

A: Add 12 grams of sugar to the jar (Demerara is ideal but any sugar will do). We do not recommend artificial sweeteners; they drastically alter the flavor of alcohol and the resulting cocktail. You can opt not to add sugar altogether.

Then add your spirit, all the way to the top. Replace the lid and let sit for 3 days before using.

Q: I'm too impatient to wait 3 days -or- I have company coming today!

A: Here's the cheat code: Microwave! Fill the jar with your booze (remember to empty the sugar packet!!) and pop it in the microwave. Hit the 1 minute button. After it stops, wait. Then hit the 1 minute button again -- with one finger on the STOP button. Watch the alcohol, if it starts to boil, press stop immediately! Do NOT let the alcohol boil over. You'll have a mess :(

When the microwave has stopped, wait at least 3 minutes before retrieving the jar. Because it's glass, it conducts heat superbly. Please use oven mitts to remove the jar from the microwave. And go slowly. Let the contents cool before trying to make a cocktail.
